Add a Sentiment Analysis Tool
Under Review
It would be a good thought to give writers an idea on whether their works have a positive or negative sentiment, and I can seem to find a good one online.

Do you have links to some of these algorithms? I'd like to check them out to see if they can be implemented without causing too much of a slowdown to the tool.

I come here some times to check for length of sample texts, if we can have a button to insert sample text it will be helpful!

Can you give an example? I don't think I'm fully understanding what you want and how it would be used.

Use inverse document frequency to weight term frequency (tf-idf)

This way you could give an educated guess of what are the most important keywords using a modern approach that is also used by search engines.

It also is more likely to catch the intuitively meaningful words of a text: We all know, that some words are more common than others. While having a hard cu [...] See More

It would be nice to have the possibility of exporting a complete list of words used with their count usage.

I'm not sure what you want exactly here. If you copy a Word document, you can paste it into Word Counter by hitting "ctrl - v"

You make it a downloadable app so you can use it offline

Like make a chrome app that can be used offline and/or a windows and mac version.

We had an app but there wasn't a lot of interest at the time (we were much smaller then) It might be time to create one again.

Remaining Words/Characters to a Limit
Already Implemented
I use Word Counter so as not to exceed a limit and I'm sure others do too. It would be great if I could set my target number of words or characters and have WordCounter tell me how many words and characters I have remaining. Just like in this text field.

You can do this by using our "goal button" If you don't see it with the other buttons, go to options - buttons and you can activate it. Let us know if you have any further questions.

What it says on the can; make our text look pretty. Italics and bold are really the only ones I want

We've discussed this before and opted not to, but I think it's time for a discussion about it again -- give us a bit and we'll give the reasons for the decision either way.

Highlighter.
Under Review
Having a highlighter would be really helpful. I often want to highlight some of my writing to remind me to come back and double check a reference OR to reword the content. Having the option to highlight easily would be very helpful.

I assume you mean to highlight sections in different colors that will remain so you can come back and change as need be at a later date. We'll have to discuss if this is possible since currently highlighting with the cursor gets detail and keyword information for that highlighted area.

Enable saving of Details statistics with text

Yay! the 'Save to drive' feature is now working for me... not sure what has been done in the background but I managed to save to my Google Drive today. Also really grateful for the longest sentence count option that has been added. Would it be possible to have the statistics saved somehow, not just [...] See More

Enable mp3 recording when using voice to type

As part of the second language acquisition research project we're planning to use this site for, it would be really useful to have a button to record in mp3 format the students' voice when they are using the voice typing feature. Support for additional languages

This is the perfect tool for an educational research project I'm doing, except that it only allows you to voice type in English. Add longest sentence (words) count to details section

Alphabetizing numbers like pronounced
Declined
At the moment, I notice numbers are placed at the beginning of a list. The possibility to sort everything like it's pronounced (for example, 'two' when there's a '2' in the text; put between other words starting with a 't') would be useful.

hmmm, this could get complicated...I think it might end up messing more up than it would help. I will think about how it might be possible if there are more people that would like to see this implemented
